ACPET was established in 1992 as a not-for-profit company under the Corporations Act. It is now the only national body representing the independent post compulsory education and training sector in Australia. ACPET has over 550 member organisations delivering a full range of higher education, vocational education, and training and ELICOS courses in all states and terrritories. ACPET is the peak national body representing the sector in discussions with Commonwealth, State and Territory governments and their agencies.

BELTA gathers the major Brazilian agencies specialised in international education. BELTA was founded 1 June 1992 , and is already a well-known association in Brazil and abroad. Nowadays our 56 members represent more than 90% of the international education market. CAPLS represents almost 60 private ESL/FSL language schools with over 100 locations across Canada . CAPLS is recognised as the voice of the private language school industry in Canada and accomplishments include participation in several federal government committees on immigration and education marketing; producing and distributing internationally a 'Study in Canada Guidebook' and participation in various overseas workshops, forums, and conferences. Current activities include working with the Canadian government at all levels to reduce impediments affecting study in Canada , maintaining a CAPLS website, and continued overseas promotion of Canadian education and quality assurance through standards’ adherence.
L'Office is a non-trading association whose purpose is to ensure the quality of language travel originating from France or realised in France. Other objectives are: active representation of participants for families in case of legal disputes help the industry grow by being more methodical and offering greater transparency in terms of how it is organised develop a quality charter with foreign partners L'Office consists of 32 professional organisations, the 3 main parents associations, youth information centres, the National Union of Associations of Tourism, National Tourist Offices and many other qualified persons and institutions. In 1998 L'Office signed an agreement with 8 national consumer associations on the quality of services. L'Office also promotes the activities of its members.
The FDSV came into being in the late 1970s as a means of professional self-assessment and quality management. By holding its members to high standards, FDSV has aimed to promote a positive image of language travel and introduce language tourism as an equal partner into the field of both youth and professional training.
Since 1995, ICEF has been organizing International Student Recruitment Workshops in Beijing , Beirut , Berlin , Honolulu , Istanbul , Kyoto , London , Los Angeles , Miami , Moscow , New Delhi , Singapore and Tokyo . In our Workshops, Exchanges and Conventions, schools, colleges and universities (education providers) meet face-to-face in pre-scheduled appointments with study-abroad agents, student recruiters and educational representatives (agents) to establish new contacts and reinforce existing relationships. ICEF invites more agents than education providers, and provides for appointment slots of 20 or 30 minutes each, during two full workshop days. If one appointment slot is not enough, discussions can be resumed during lunches, coffee breaks or the evening programmes.
IALC is a professional association for private, independent language schools teaching the language(s) of their country. IALC assures the quality of its member schools and provides them with substantial joint marketing and networking opportunities.
Tandem International is registered as a society in Germany as an international association of language schools specialising in the teaching of languages worldwide. In addition to language development, Tandem promotes cultural awareness and understanding through language courses which are complemented and reinforced where possible with Tandem Language-Learning Partnerships.
Italian in Italy is an Association of Italian language and cultural schools. It currently gathers 26 schools located all over Italy. The aim of each member is to promote the Italian language and culture among foreign students. Italian in Italy Association organizes training sessions and workshops through a body of teachers, who are highly qualified in the field of second language acquisition; the study programmes have been particularly developed keeping in mind each single student’s social integration need.
With South Africa becoming an extremely popular destination for English Language Travellers, there has been a sharp increase over the past few years in the number of English Language Centres offering English language tuition and accompanying services. In order to provide guidance and a common voice for these centres, ELTASA was formed in June 2003. ELTASA is committed to developing and guiding the growth of the English language travel industry in South Africa and ensuring that its members meet or exceed guaranteed minimum standards of professionalism and quality.
TIECA'S main activities are to: Supervise and co-ordinate scholarships for English language studies abroad * Support the organization of seminars by the Royal Thai Government * Support special projects to help disadvantaged children and handicapped people * Support the office of the National Education Commission to implement Education reforms * Organize educational seminars throughout Thailand.
English UK is the association for accredited English language centres. It is comprised of members of ARELS and BASELT. English UK was launched in May 2004 and represents 330 schools throughout the UK, which offer a broad range of general and specialised English language courses for juniors, adults, students, executives, teachers and others. All English UK members are accredited by the British Council.
