ALTO Standard tender
Benchmarking report launch date 8th April

ALTO Standard

ALTO has recently opened a tender inviting software developers to create a platform on the ALTO website where member schools can upload their price lists using the ALTO Standard that we introduced and discussed in the past couple of years.

The platform will be open to member agents and schools can also decide to invite other partners who may not hold membership.

The project is championed by Thiago Espana Board member and has been supported by ALTO agents and schools. The winning platform will be showcased during the Round table session at the SF2016 conference.

Click here to see the proposed guidelines as per Thiago's presentation last year in New York and read previous articles in the Study Travel Magazine, the ICEF Monitor or the PIE News.

Launch date 8th April 2016 for the ALTO- Deloitte Language Travel Industry Survey - 2015 report with country supplements

Please watch out for my e-mails in April, I will send information to all members about how to access the full benchmarking report with country supplements.

Non-members who participated in the data collection will be contacted directly by Deloitte.

The executive summary of the 2014 report is available here:

Fearless Communication by Michael Comyn
- introducing our speaker at the London event on 5th September

We continue to offer professional development opportunities to the mid-managers of our member organisations and will organise a double event again in London on 5th September 2016.

Confident and flawless presentation skills are a must in our industry, so the Board decided to invite Michael Comyn Master Trainer to hold a session at both mid-managers' (morning) and leaders' events (afternoon).

The morning presenter at the Leaders' event will be announced shortly, but you can register if you already know your travel plans. The Mid-Managers' seminar is free for the first delegate of each member organisation, registration is now open.

Fearless Communication session summary: This course equips you with the tools to speak confidently with the minimal use of PowerPoint in a structured and effective manner. This is also excellent as a foundation for high level presentations and conference presentation and trade shows.
Step by step, we go through the structure and planning of a presentation and then through the delivery and review process.

***Note!*** This year's London event is held at the Hilton Metropole (StudyWorld hotel)
