'The evolution of the language and educational travel industry - Survival of the fittest.' - Professional Development and Networking Conference in Madrid

This is ALTO's 5th annual Professional Development and Networking Conference! The event is held between 4th-6th May 2017 at the Westin Palace Madrid which is a beautiful 5* business hotel in the heart of Madrid.

The ALTO Conference is a very unique two-day event where the leaders and decision makers of the language travel industry get together and boost their businesses through top-level networking and professional development sessions. 

Features include outstanding speakers, distinguished industry guests, structured and informal networking opportunities with the decision makers of the industry. The theme of the conference in 2017 is 'The evolution of the language and educational travel industry - Survival of the fittest.'  We will invite speakers who can help participants to prepare and respond effectively in challenging times and find out how to help their businesses survive and thrive.

If you arrive in Madrid early and fancy a bit of culture and fun, join us for a visit to the Palacio Real and a walk around Mercado de San Miguel. Optional programme 20 EUR/ person  Many of you have visited Madrid but may not have seen the main tourist attractions. We will take an open top bus tour of the city and have some “copas y tapas” at one of the most iconic buildings in Madrid with fantastic views over the city.

After dinner the bus will take us back to the hotel, but those who are still up for a party will head to Florida Retiro.

ALTO members with 2 nights hotel (4th & 5th May 2017): 890 EUR

Non- members with 2 nights hotel (4th & 5th May 2017): 1490 EUR


Please note: ALL event tickets will be invoiced in EUR. ALTO member organisations can purchase up to 2 tickets at the special reduced rate, additional staff members are welcome to join the event at the regular rate.
