Global Directions in Language Travel 2006
The third Global Directions in Language Travel report published in 2006 adds to the body of data collected in the two previous reports published in 2005 and 2004. The 2006 report is a compilation of results from three ALTO Member Surveys conducted in three consecutive years. The results of this report was presented at a seminar during the World Youth and Student Travel Conference taking place in Melbourne, October 2006.
ALTO and JWT Education have produced the second Global Direction in Language Travel report based on the results of the ALTO Member Survey 2005. The continuation of the project initiated in 2004 with the publication of the first Global Directions in Language Travel report has enabled historic comparison of the results and facilitates more accurate forecasting. This latest report focuses on issues such as student mobility, industry growth rates, marketing, business and student profiling.
What are the necessary criteria for success in the language travel industry? How can this sector be developed further within youth travel?
These questions and more are answered in the Global directions in language travel report (acrobat/pdf). The report is compiled based on the results of the ALTO Member Survey 2004 and outlines the main trends and developments prevalent in the language travel industry over the past years and in the coming years.
